2011 Schedule of Activities RFEF Grassroots Coaching Course- March 26-29 As FIFA introduces more and more tournaments and more so at the youth level; it is evident that there is a lack of proper coaching methods directed at young players. This course will introduce coaching methods for children, how to help them understand the game, and the different roles on the field. Also included in the course will be the teaching of tactical awareness such as basic principles in attack and defence.

President Warner Opens FA Media Workshop |

CONCACAF President calls on media to get more involved The relationship between a Federation’s Press Officer and the media can neither be ignored nor underestimated in the context of development of sport in a country. This sentiment was echoed by CONCACAF President Jack Warner at the Opening Ceremony of a Media Relations Workshop at the Crowne Plaza today. The Seminar which caters for press officers focuses on media training, media relations and communications strategies utilized by those involved in football industry. During his address Warner urged the media to “get more involved in the sport.” He lamented that journalists are depending too often on press statements, faxes or releases and not actively participating in creating the stories.

FA Youth Course Kicks Off |

 The FA Youth Coaching Modules started today at the Centre of Excellence, Trinidad. Thirty participants from 14 Member Associations ( Anguilla, Antigua-Barbuda, Aruba, Bahamas, Belize, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, St. Kitts-Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago) are in attendance and have enjoyed the first day of activities thus far. The FA has sent two of their experienced instructors with Paul Holder, FA National Development Coach and Ben Bartlett who has been a FA Regional Coach Development Manager for the past 3 years.
The Course will last for 7 days and is a non-assessed Course.
